I transform your swimming technique through a unique blend of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and injury prevention to allow you to reach your peak performance faster and more efficiently.
My Story
I am passionate about swimming, and helping others love it too, but it wasn’t always this way.
I grew up in competitive swimming because my two older brothers were already at the pool. I was a hard-working swimmer that just made Provincials or qualified for the B final in Ontario University Athletics. Eventually, hard training without proper technique caught up to me and after a couple years of worsening shoulder pain, I left the sport for 15 years.
Joining a Masters swim team slowly ignited a love for swimming beyond what I ever had before. I found a community, an amazing coach, and discovered swimming as an activity that both grounded and energized me. I became more involved in the sport and what started as a way to stay in shape turned into a drive to compete. Weekly practices turned into traveling to Provincial and National Masters swim meets. Early morning sunrise swims in the bay turned into 1km and 5km open water racing and a relay across Georgian Bay.
With a history in competitive swimming I was often asked to demonstrate drills and help with other swimmers’ techniques; this led me to realize that helping somebody else ‘get it’ is one of the most rewarding experiences. In 2025, I left my career in engineering consulting to pursue my passion for helping swimmers achieve their peak performance as a full-time swim coach.
